     Abstracts:
At present, the century of change and the epidemic of the century have brought new challenges to the transformation and development of China's cultural industry, and put forward new requirements for the high-quality development of the cultural industry. Supported by the "Special Research on Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia" project of Peking University in 2020, this book systematically investigates the development status, risk performance, coping strategies and development trend of different sectors of China's cultural industry since the outbreak of the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, and focuses on analyzing the new modes of innovation and development of China's cultural industry in the post-epidemic era, It focuses on analyzing the new modes of innovative development of China's cultural industry in the post-epidemic era, the new mode of cultural digitization and the new mechanism of cultural creativity integration, which provides theoretical enlightenment and practical reference for the crisis response and innovative development of China's cultural industry in the post-epidemic era.
This book points out that China's cultural industry in the post epidemic era has generally experienced a process from distress and depression to gradual recovery. 2020, at the beginning of the epidemic, China's cultural industry suffered a large-scale drop in revenue, the country's 59,000 cultural and related industry enterprises above designated size realized operating income of 1,688.9 billion yuan in the first quarter, a year-on-year drop of 13.9%, of which the culture, entertainment and recreation service industry reached a drop of 59.1%. Among them, the culture, entertainment and leisure service industry even fell by 59.1%. Starting from June 2020, the operating income of enterprises of culture and related industries above scale in China recovered quarter by quarter to the level of 2019. in June, September and December 2020, the cumulative value of the operating income of enterprises of culture and related industries above scale in China amounted to 4,019.6 billion yuan, 6,611.9 billion yuan and 9,851.4 billion yuan, respectively, and the annual value-added of the culture and related industries for the whole year of 2020 amounted to 4,494.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%, accounting for 4.43% of the gross domestic product (GDP). 2021, the operating income of enterprises of cultural and related industries above designated size in China continued to maintain the recovery trend, with a cumulative operating income of 8,420.5 million yuan in the first three quarters, a year-on-year increase of 21.8%. In the face of the impact of the epidemic, China's cultural industry is moving forward in the balance of impact response and crisis transformation. Under the impact of the epidemic, there are opportunities for industrial development such as industrial structure upgrading and digital transformation, and the changes in the basic fields of industrial development such as the way of cultural life and communication, cultural consumption habits, digital technology infrastructure and organization and production modes in the period of post-epidemic will affect the development of China's and even the global cultural industry in a longer-term time and space scope. At the same time, along with the gradual fading of the influence of technological dividend and policy dividend, the deepening reform, high-quality development, and innovation narrative of the cultural industry are still topics that need to be continuously paid attention to and explored.
This book argues that China's cultural industry in the post-epidemic era presents new development trends, including the flourishing development of digital cultural industry, the accelerated integration of culture and tourism, as well as the accelerated construction of collaborative innovation and standardized cultural ecology, which are of far-reaching significance in promoting the high-quality development of China's cultural industry. This book suggests that promoting the high-quality development of China's cultural industry remains a long-term endeavor. The state needs to introduce policies to alleviate difficulties, promote the diversified and multi-level development of the cultural industry, promote the synergistic development of large, medium and small enterprises, strengthen the support of cultural finance and capital market, and deepen the reform of cultural institutions and mechanisms. For enterprises and practitioners related to the cultural industry, how to rely on China's rich cultural resources, innovate cultural narratives, reshape cultural image, deepen industry reform and release industrial vitality are issues that still need to be explored and pondered in the process of building a strong cultural country.
